Schools Engagement Officer

0.5 FTE; SCHADS Level 4.1; Contracted to 30 December 2023

JRS Australia requires a Schools Engagement Officer to support and work on the development of the JRS Australia Schools Engagement Program that engages with young people around the topics of forced displacement, human rights and social justice.

The JRS Australia Schools Engagement Officer position will work with the Community and Schools Engagement Coordinator and is responsible for the delivery of of the Schools Engagement Program across Catholic schools, other independent schools, and public schools. This role will require you to collaborate with leaders with lived experience of forced displacement from the JRS Australia Leadership Program and develop and maintain relationships with students, teachers, and parents at primary and secondary schools, with a particular focus on engagement with Catholic schools within the Parramatta LGA and in Western Sydney.
