A community putting faith into action
From providing emergency relief and food to families in crisis, to supporting women experiencing gender-based violence, connecting people with meaningful employment, and advocating for lasting policy change, every chapter of this report reflects what is possible as a community puts their faith into action, and chooses welcome over exclusion.
Inside you will find the stories, impact and partnerships that shaped our year, alongside reflections from our Chair, Jim Barber, and Country Director, Fr Brett O’Neill SJ, as we continue the next chapter in our long journey accompanying, serving and advocating alongside refugees and people seeking asylum.
Together we:
- Accompanied, served and advocated alongside more than 3,400 refugees, people seeking asylum and migrants in vulnerable situations.
- Distributed more than 8,000 food parcels to families experiencing hardship.
- Supported 522 individuals and families through complex casework and emergency relief.
- Helped 70 people secure paid employment and provided digital inclusion support to hundreds more.
- Protected more than 180 women and children through our Finding Safety Project.
- Engaged more than 9,400 students and community members through education and refugee leadership initiatives.
- Worked alongside 120 volunteers, who generously contributed more than 10,000 hours of service.
Thank you for being part of Our Story
Everything in this report was made possible because of you. Our wonderful community of supporters, volunteers, schools, parishes, and friends who believe that every person seeking safety deserves dignity, opportunity and a safe place when they have nowhere else to go.
Thank you for standing with refugees and people seeking asylum, and for helping us continue to write stories of hope together.
