Fundraise for JRS
Bring your school, parish, workplace, friends or community together to stand alongside refugees and people seeking asylum.
Mobilise your community around something that matters.
From bake sales and mufti days to sponsored challenges and community events, fundraising is a way to turn shared values into practical support for a more just and welcoming Australia.
How could your community get involved?
- Schools: Mufti days, bake sales, student markets or whole-school challenges.
- Parishes: Fundraising events, collections or community lunches.
- Workplaces: Team challenges, morning teas or workplace appeals.
- Individuals and groups: Sponsored activities, special occasions or your own creative idea.

Your fundraising makes a difference
In Christmas 2025, students at Catherine McAuley Westmead raised $12,000 for JRS Australia through creative fundraising activities, including selling snow cones, handmade Christmas cards, baked goods and student artwork.
At the beginning of the new year, our friends at Mums for Refugees coordinated backpacks for over 80 children seeking asylum in our community. They also raised money to support families to pay school fees, purchase uniforms, and get ready for the school year. Learn more here.
In October 2026, Our Lady of the Way Parish hosted a Mozart concert at St Mary’s Church in North Sydney, raising over $8,000 for JRS Australia. Learn more here.
