Christmas LINK 2025 Out Now!

27 November 2025|Molly Jackson

JRS Australia’s biannual publication of our LINK Newsletter is out now!

We are delighted to share the latest edition of our LINK Newsletter. As we approach the Christmas season, this LINK brings stories of hope, resilience, community, and the shared commitment that makes our mission possible.

In this edition, our Country Director Fr Brett O’Neill, S.J. offers a heartfelt reflection from his time in Rome during the Jubilee of Migrants, and he reminds us of the long Jesuit tradition of going to the frontiers, walking with those whose dignity has been violated and standing in solidarity with people seeking safety. His message speaks to the heart of our work at JRS Australia, especially in a year marked by rising anti-migrant sentiment and deepening marginalisation.

The LINK also includes Sara’s moving insight into how our Women’s Space has become a “home away from home” for women facing gender-based violence, and Khujesta’s inspiring journey from seeking asylum to becoming a community mobiliser empowering other people seeking safety in Austraila.

Please read the LINK for updates from our program areas, and a heartfelt thank you to the volunteers, supporters, and community members who make JRS Australia a place of welcome, safety, and hope.

As we close the year, we extend our deepest gratitude to everyone who walks with refugees and people seeking asylum. Your solidarity strengthens our mission and thanks to you JRS can continue to be a place of welcome where people can rebuild their lives and feel belonging.

Thanks to your feedback, we have moved to a shorter, quarterly LINK Newsletter tailored for easier viewing and distribution to our offline mailing list. As a member of our online community, you can find the most current and comprehensive updates by subscribing to our e-newsletter, which you will continue to receive monthly.
