Easter Message from JRS Australia’s Acting Country Director

Hi everyone, Josephine from Jesuit Refugee Service Australia here.
On behalf of our team, I’d like to say thank you to everyone who’s contributed so generously to our Easter appeal. We are so thrilled that our message of hope as a call to action has resonated so strongly across our community of supporters.
And to everyone who’s donated to our mission of accompaniment, service, and advocacy for and with people seeking asylum, we say thank you.
Together, we can send a very strong message that the discrimination and dehumanisation of forcibly displaced people will not be tolerated.

As we head towards the federal election, we’d like to ask you to continue journeying with us and use your voice and vote to support people seeking asylum.

And in the spirit of Easter and the miracle of the risen Christ, may our hearts be open to kindness and may we turn away from division.
