Jesuit Refugee Service (JRS) Australia is pleased to announce the release of our 2025 Annual Report.
This year’s report, Stories of Hope, reflects on a year of accompanying, serving and advocating alongside refugees, people seeking asylum, and migrants in vulnerable situations. It shares the impact of our programs, the voices of the people we serve, and the generosity of the community that makes our work possible.
Throughout 2025, as a community, we accompanied more than 3,400 people, distributed over 8,000 food parcels, supported 522 individuals and families in crisis through complex casework and emergency relief, helped 70 people secure meaningful employment, and worked alongside 120 volunteers who contributed more than 10,000 hours of service.
The report also highlights our advocacy for a fairer protection system, the work of our Finding Safety Project supporting women experiencing gender-based violence, and the leadership of people with lived experience who continue to shape a more welcoming Australia.
As Country Director Fr Brett O’Neill SJ reflects:
“Your support for JRS signals to refugees and people seeking asylum that they can find a dignified welcome and a home in our Australian community.”
We are deeply grateful to our supporters, volunteers, schools, parishes, community groups, foundations and partners whose generosity made these stories of hope possible.
We invite you to read the report and discover the impact we have achieved together.
