Vandana Setia - Finding Safety Project Officer; Grant Officer
Vandana Setia is a highly respected community leader, social impact advocate, and entrepreneur with more than 15 years of committed service to women, families, and vulnerable communities across Western Sydney. She serves on the management team at the Cumberland Women’s Health Centre, where she contributes to programs that strengthen women’s wellbeing, safety, empowerment, and social connectedness.
As the founder and President of the Lions Club of Harris Park, Vandana leads a wide range of humanitarian initiatives, including food relief, community lunches, sewing programs, skill-building workshops, and outreach projects that support individuals experiencing hardship. Her leadership extends to other community organisations as well, where she has served in roles such as President, Treasurer, and committee member.
Vandana is also an accomplished entrepreneur, owning Ginger Indian Restaurant and Indian Craft Cottage. She actively uses her businesses as platforms for giving back to the community through meal donations, fundraising events, and collaborative community projects.
Her work has been recognised both locally and internationally, including being honoured with the Women Empowerment Award at the International Film and Entertainment Festival Australia. Known for her compassionate service, strong stakeholder engagement skills, and commitment to community capacity-building, Vandana continues to champion dignity, education, and meaningful support for women, families, and those in need.
